Camp Counsellor

**Purpose of the Position**:
The Camp Counsellor “Counsellor” is responsible to assist in the planning, delivery and supervision of the Camp programs and participants; ensuring compliance with HIGH FIVE® standards, the Health and Safety Regulations; and Municipal Policies and Procedures

Camp Participants

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES**:
**Knowledge**
- 2.1 High school diploma preferred, however high school students will be considered based on majority, skills and experience.
- 2.2 Standard First Aid, CPR “C” with AED or willing to obtain.
- 2.3 Experience working with children and youth.
- 2.4 HIGH FIVE ®: Principles of Healthy Child Development or willing to obtain.

- 2.6 Creativity and enthusiasm.
- 2.7 Responsibility driven and maturity.

**3.0 OTHER**
- 3.1 Valid and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
- 3.2 Able to commit to the full term of employment and be available Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

**4.0 WORKING CONDITIONS**:

- 4.1 Indoor and outdoor work environment.
- 4.2 Standing, sitting, running, jumping, dancing etc. associated with active participation in sports, activities and games required.

$15.75 per hour
