As we continue to grow, we are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented **Bookkeeper** to join our finance team and support our financial operations.
**Position Overview**:
The Bookkeeper will play a key role in managing day-to-day financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting the accounting team with month-end closing processes. This role requires attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to handle a wide range of financial tasks with precision.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Record daily financial transactions, including **accounts payable** and **accounts receivable**.
- Maintain and reconcile **general ledgers** and **bank accounts**.
- Assist in **preparing financial reports**, including monthly and quarterly financial statements.
- Support the development of **managerial reporting** systems and ensure the accurate tracking of **financial data**.
- Assist in managing **inventory records** and collaborate with the finance team on **inventory management** tasks.
- Help with **budget preparation** and perform **variance analysis** to identify discrepancies.
- Provide support in **cash flow management**, ensuring financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with external controller, accountants and auditors for monthly/ year-end processes and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Maintain financial files and ensure all documentation is well-organized and accessible.
- Assist with other administrative and financial tasks as needed.
**Qualifications**:
- **5+ years of experience** in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related role.
- **Proficiency in accounting software** (QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and **double-entry bookkeeping**.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to **work independently** and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- **Experience in payroll processing** and accounts reconciliation.
- **CPA designation** is an asset but not required.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Experience working in service-oriented business.
- Understanding of **inventory management** and **cash flow tracking**.
- Familiarity with preparing **financial reports** and collaborating on **year-end processes**.
