Required Job Related Skills and Training:
Knowledge:Knowledge of the operation of prepackaging equipment preferred

Skills:Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), analytical, attention to detail and problem-solving skills as well as ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must be able to work effectively independently and in a team environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- To comply with the Standards of Performance and Behaviour required by the Health Centre and relevant regulatory bodies.
- To comply with Infection Control & Occupational Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures.
- To provide goodattendance.
- To foster harmonious relationships with members of the health care team.
- To work cooperatively with employees, students, volunteers and medical staff and to be courteous and helpful to visitors, patients and external agencies.
- To ensure efficient and cost effective use of the Health Centre’s resources.
- To demonstrate and practice the Health Centre’s values of Human Dignity, Excellence, Compassion, Social Responsibility and Community of Service in the performance of all aspects of their duties.
- To ensure that all information relating to employees, potential employees and patients remain confidential.

All staff at St. Joseph’s Health Centre are expected to carry out their assigned duties and responsibilities in a manner which prioritizes patient and employee safety. Key accountabilities in this regard include:

- Strict compliance with patient/employee safety practices and standards.
- Appropriate identification and reporting of patient/employee safety risks and incidents/events.
- Responding immediately to patient/employee safety incidents/events in accordance with

established policies and procedures.
- Advocating/Collaborating with employees, patients and other persons engaged throughout the

Health Centre to support a culture of safety.

**Duties**:
Delivers stat and interim-dose medications

Picks up prescriptions/medication order copies from all nursing units

Picks up discontinued medications from all nursing units

Delivers and exchanges Unit Dose Cassettes to units

Delivers ward stock to units and other clinical areas in the health centre

Checks and records medication refrigerator temperatures on assigned nursing units

Maintains appropriate delivery logs

Responds to pages promptly

Perform all duties in a safe manner and in accordance with established procedures and maintain a clean and safe work area

Report any problems and discrepancies to immediate supervisor

Coverage of Storekeeper duties as required
