Facilities Operator

The Facilities Operator will assist the Recreation Division with maintenance, repair, and operational activities at Township-owned facilities and job sites. The compensation for this position is $20.64 per hour. The hours for this position will include shift work, evenings, and weekends. The positions will each run from May 1 to September 30.

Duties
- assist with the cleaning and maintenance of operating equipment and facilities, including heavy lifting, shoveling, and various maintenance tasks
- perform general maintenance such as painting, cleaning, and small repairs
- assist with property maintenance which includes grass trimming, litter control and collection, sign installation, sports field and trail grooming maintenance, and weekly inspections of various equipment and facilities
- assist with work such as rentals, set-up and tear down of functions and special events, washroom cleaning, fleet, and equipment maintenance
- works in compliance with the OHSA, Corporate Health, and Safety Policy, and all other corporate policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
- promote and demonstrate a high standard of customer service
- comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, Corporate Occupational Health and Safety Program, and related policies and procedures
- other related duties as assigned

**Experience**:

- millwright: 1 year (preferred)
