The **Delivery Driver's** main responsibility is to safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport new products to East Penn Canada customers and / or pick up used batteries for drop-off to the warehouse or applicable recycling depots in a safe, timely and accurate manner. This includes loading and unloading the products.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:

- Carry out deliveries and pick-up product from customers according to the pre-established routes/schedule
- Establish positive working relationships with contacts at each customer site
- Oversee all functions of vehicle's condition of equipment loading and unloading, pre-trip inspections, safety and security of cargo (including inspection of tires, lights, brakes, etc)
- Assists in the warehouse as required, shipping, receiving and labeling batteries.

**Experience, Skills & Competencies**:

- Must have valid **DZ driver’s license** with **air brake endorsement**:

- Minimum 2 years previous experience with delivery driving and, in a warehouse,
- Forklift experience & certificate to operate Forklift
- Must be willing and able to frequently lift and/or move boxes up to 40 lbs. and up
- Good communication skills
- Ability to follow processes and adhere to safety standards (WHIMS & TDG)
- Ability to work with mobile technology
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision

- Background checks including criminal checks, employment references, and drivers’ abstracts will be requested
