Drilling Assistant

**About us**

Arrow Drilling Inc. is an environmental and geotechnical drilling contractor based out of Belmont and serving Southern Ontario.

We are seeking 1 individual to join our team:

- Drilling Assistant / Labourer

The position requires you to meet at the company's shop each morning. Travel is then provided to job sites. The shop is not accessible by public transit so personal transportation is necessary. Shifts are often >8 hours with travel time to/from sites accounted for.

On-the-job training will be provided, so drilling experience / education is not required but is an asset. The following items are REQUIRED:

- Minimum Class G drivers license required
- Clean criminal record check required (a background check will be conducted, as criminal record checks are occasionally required to access job sites)
- Personal vehicle required

The following items are considered an asset:

- Welding experience considered an asset
- Mechanic / automotive experience considered an asset
- Background working with drilling equipment / heavy machinery / manual labour considered an asset

**Responsibilities**:

- Perform manual labor at various sites
- Working outdoors in all weather conditions (safety permitted)
- Be able to lift heavy items
- Working around heavy machinery
- Occasionally required to drive a company supply vehicle (pickup truck)
- Occasional weekend work
- Very occasional out-of-town jobs, accommodations provided

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

- 12 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
