Hairdresser

The Back Door Hair Store is Red Deer's local downtown hair salon. We have been operating for over 20 years and are looking for a hair stylist who is interested in renting a salon chair.

I will be providing a storage area for you to store your things. All supplies(color, shampoo, etc.) are the stylist's responsibility.

Part time rent: $400.00 a month

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide hair styling services to clients, including cutting, shampooing, blow drying, colouring and styling
- Advise & educate clients of their hair care product needs.
- Keep on top of current hair cutting and styling trends.
- Ensure clients with scheduled appointments receive service in a timely manner.
- Engage with clients and strive for 100% retention.
- Maintain cleanliness of salon and your station.
- Assist with front desk duties such as scheduling appointments and handling customer inquiries

**Skills**:

- Proficiency in retail math for handling cash transactions and calculating sales
- Familiarity with front desk operations in a salon setting
- Expertise in hair threading techniques for precise hair removal
- Experience in retail sales, including product recommendations and customer service

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Pay: $15.00-$50.00 per hour

**Experience**:

- hair styling: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Alberta Red Seal (required)
