**Position Description**:
**Clinical Research Project Coordinator focused on Clinical Trials for the Canadian Paediatric Inpatient Research Network.**

**Here¿s What You¿ll Get To Do**:

- Work as part of a team of clinical researchers to develop detailed grant outlines, including writing, revising, and submitting to funding agencies, focused on improving outcomes for hospitalized children.
- Conduct literature reviews focused on topics for proposals and manage bibliography
- Work with methodologists in formulating clinical trial design, and key co-investigators, collaborators, patient partners, and knowledge users to obtain their input into grant proposals
- Work with patient partners in developing study proposals and disseminating study findings
- Assist in the planning, and execution of two in-person RCT workshops
- Prepare all aspects of proposals including references, appendices and executing submission
- Contribute to proposal development, report writing and presentation of research findings where necessary
- Relationship building (acting as key communicator between co-investigators, methodologists, collaborators, patient partners, and stakeholders)
- Attend workshops and training on grant and manuscript writing

**Here¿s What You¿ll Need**:

- A Master's degree in Epidemiology, Health Science or a related field with a minimum of two years¿ experience in clinical research, in particular clinical trials. Post-secondary degree in a health-related discipline (e.g., Nursing, Epidemiology, Health Sciences, Psychology) with 1 years related clinical research experience. A clinical professional degree may be an asset, as would certification as a clinical research associate (e.g., SOCRA, ACRP accreditation).
- Strong knowledge of clinical trial design and methodologies is required
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience writing research proposals and preparing presentations
- Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and self-directed
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage and coordinate projects in all phases
- Interpersonal skills and stakeholder/relationships management skills
- Excellent computer skills (strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and data collection platforms such as REDCap)
- Ability to function independently yet collaboratively within a team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Experience working in a paediatric setting
- Strong motivation to contribute to building a research team focused on improving children¿s health
