**SHIFT HOURS**: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM OR 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM

**JOB OVERVIEW**:
The Handyman/woman will be responsible for providing light general contractor and related services to existing and new commercial clients. You will be responsible for completing various activities, which are not limited to minor repair and maintenance in the following areas: plumbing, carpentry, interior/exterior paint, drywall, electrical, heating/cooling, and more.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Conduct building inspections to identify hazards, maintenance needs for the interior and exterior of the buildings, and safety issues
- Respond to various maintenance requests
- Clean, organize and maintain areas to avoid hazards
- Clean and assists with the upkeep of the facilities
- Order supplies and materials and tools needed for repairs and maintenance
- Establish, monitor, and carry out preventative maintenance procedures and schedules for buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Ensure building and equipment meet all safety, security, and fire regulations and policies
- Complete and maintains related records such as maintenance logs and security incident reports. Report exterior building and property damage and vandalism
- Log daily duties and submit them to site management
- Other duties as required per business needs

**REQUIRED SKILLS**:

- Excellent customer service and listening skills;
- Must be able to use job-related tools and equipment with ease;
- Good written and verbal communication skills;
- Basic math and ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and plans;
- Basic computer and smartphone knowledge with experience using MS Office programs;
- Ability to effectively analyze, plan, organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines;
- Ability to use Google maps, GPS systems, other related smartphone apps, and more;
- Good understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act;
- Multilingual ability is considered an asset.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**:

- Previous related experience considered an asset;
- Trades-related ticket/education considered an asset;
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving abstract;
- Acceptable security and criminal record check.
