Shop Laborer

We are looking for a reliable general labourer who is also willing to learn the Sandblast trade. Answering to the plant manager, you must be able to perform physically demanding, heavy repetitive work.

Duties include but are not limited to:

- Sandblasting
- Loading and unloading trucks with forklifts
- Prepping steel to be blasted and painted
- Handling large pieces of metal
- Shop cleaning as necessary

Assets
- Must be able to lift an excess of 50 lbs
- Ability to lift and carry heavy material when needed
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Positive "can-do" attitude and initiative
- Motivated to learn new processes
- Possess good communicating & listening skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Work safely and contribute to a safe working environment as a priority
- Punctual, dependable and reliable
- Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
- Operate power tools as required
- Operate forklift safely and competently
- Steel toe work boots are mandatory (CSA approved)

**Salary**: $17.00-$20.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
