HIRING: Doula

**Job Description**:

- The MomMe Clinic is currently hiring Doulas (as well as Post-Partum Doulas) to join our team located in Hamilton, ON. We provide a wide range of interdisciplinary services including massage therapy, occupational therapy, osteopathy, social work, pelvic physiotherapy, and other services for pediatric populations and families.
- By joining our team, you will collaborate with other clinicians from other disciplines to provide a strong continuum of care for clients while being part of a team of highly skilled, motivated and compassionate health professionals

Your role as a Doula:

- Provide pre-natal and post-natal support to mothers, partners and their newborns
- Aid in post-partum recovery through education with self-care recovery; providing both emotional and physical support
- Assist with newborn care (ex./ bathing, diapering, sleeping, soothing)
- Provide infant feeding instruction and assistance
- Respite assistance to new parents
- Provide education and support to new parents
- Breastfeeding support
- Monitoring for need to refer to appropriate care providers
- Light housekeeping support may be required
- Other duties are to be discussed with the client at time of contract signing
- Prepare/ develop workshops and webinars to educate families

Qualifications:

- Certification as a Postpartum Doula (DONA or CAPPA or equivalent)
- Experience with feeding, soothing/ caring for newborns, and establishing healthy sleep habits
- Must have reliable form of transportation as this role involves travelling to client’s homes
- Vulnerable Sector Check

**Experience**:

- 2 years (preferred)

**Job Type**:

- Part-time or fulltime employee model, or Consultant model available

Schedule:

- Flexible scheduling
- Opportunities to provide overnight support

Pay:

- Competitive pay structure based on years of experience
- To be negotiated

Start Date:

- As soon as possible

**Job Types**: Full-time, Freelance

**Salary**: $15.50-$46.65 per hour
