Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician at Stewart Property Management (SPM) is essential for maintaining the integrity and functionality of the residential properties SPM manages. This role involves conducting routine and emergency repairs and inspections to ensure properties remain in top condition while adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Conduct daily maintenance and repairs of properties.
- Travel to multiple properties and locations
- Patching drywall damages and painting
- Basic plumbing (skink drain repairs, toilet mechanism repairs)
- Water and furnace filter replacement
- Perform Building inspections to ensure compliance with standards.
- Respond quickly and professionally to maintenance requests.
- Follow safety protocols and report any hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness and order during and after job completion.
- Present a professional image in line with Stewart Property Management standards.
- Handle emergency calls as needed.
- Record job specific information into the SPM Maintenance App
- Communicate regularly with the service manager and service coordinator regarding updates and issues.
- Performing other related duties.
**Qualifications**
- 2-years of work experience in maintenance roles.
- Proficient at patching drywall damages and painting
- Understanding of basic plumbing skills
- Ability to replace minor electrical appliances such as light switches, outlets, light fixtures etc
- Basic understanding of HVAC equipment
- Valid driver's license required for travel between worksites and use of a company vehicle.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment necessary for property maintenance.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations.

**Working Conditions**
- Flexible working hours (part time with possibility of full time)
- Work involves on-call responsibilities - hours outside of typical working hours may be required
- Work involves frequent movement and may require lifting heavy items up to 40 pounds
- May involve use of power tools.
- May involve exposure to potentially dangerous chemicals or fumes, but ventilation systems may minimize harmful effects.
- May involve exposure to distracting or uncomfortable sounds and noise levels.
- Company vehicle will be provided
**COMPENSATION - $25/hr to $32/hr - depending on experience**
**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 - 40 per week
