We are currently looking for an **IT Field Technician** to join our team

**What you can expect in this role**:
Reporting to the IT Team Lead, the IT Field Technician will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and functionality of our organization’s IT mining site infrastructure. This position involves resolving technical issues, assisting on-site users, managing the lifecycle of on-site IT assets, and maintaining an optimal site environment. The position may require on-call support on a weekly rotation basis.

**More specifically, here are some of the key responsibilities**:

- Installing and removing network devices.
- Install, patching, labelling and organizing network cables.
- Updating inventory databases & asset management systems.
- Cleaning IT equipment and surrounding areas.
- Performing routine checks of the data center floor to ensure no audible alarms, visible warning lights or other signs of equipment distress.
- Monitoring environment control systems, like HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning), to ensure servers and devices remain at optimal temperatures.
- Monitoring and reporting health and safety hazards.
- Monitoring power distribution units (PDUs) and ensuring devices are evenly and properly powered.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues.
- Escalating_ co_mplex issues to the team and tracking all issues to resolution.
- Identifying and reporting visible damaged equipment or systems not operating as expected to IT Field Technician Level 2 and Lead.

**Here's the profile we're looking for**:

- 6 months to 1 year experience in a similar position
- Obtain ASP training within 90 days of hire.
- Valid_ _driver’s license
- High school diploma, DEP/AEC
- Proactive with an inquisitive and problem-solving mind.
- Travel required in the region of Monteregie and Esterie
