**Pival International Inc. is a global logistics and supply chain management company with a comprehensive menu of warehousing logistics solutions and transportation solutions, including time sensitivity (land and air), FTL, LTL, intermodal.**

Reporting to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will work on a variety of HR initiatives, including but not limited to, performance process management, strategic learning & development initiatives to support employee progression and retention, compensation analysis, general HR communications, and other projects
- Participate in the development and continuous improvement of a comprehensive training strategy ensuring strategic alignment of training and development with business goals
- Assist in the delivery of new learning programs to foster the growth and evolution of our team
- Maintenance of LMS; scheduling and tracking attendance and completion
- Update national learning programs and initiatives to support learning and development initiatives
- Participate in the planning and implementation of training & development programs.
- Participates in the development and implementation of organizational programs and initiatives
- Monitor employee engagement and retention and suggest recommendations where required
- Manage employees on extended/personal leaves, including medical (WSIB claims management, modified duties, workplace accommodations)
- Maintain employee files, both soft (HRIS) and hard copies in a timely manner, ensuring they are up-to-date, accurate and complete (new hire information, wage changes, promotions, transfers, benefits profile, terminations etc.)
- Conducts systems audits of the HRIS to ensure data integrity and the accuracy of employee-related data
- Generate weekly/ monthly statistics, and trend analysis and ensure all deliverables are completed accurately and on time
- Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed
- Maintain and foster relationships to enable collaboration with all levels of the organization ensuring a high level of customer service is provided
- Provides operational support and advice on group benefits, pension, and the annual performance review cycle and process
- Assist in the building and maintenance of a company-wide compensation and equity strategy
- Manage & maintain the company HRIS system, transactions, and updates
- Act as backup to other HR team members during vacations
- Ensure that inclusion and diversity is promoted and underpins all HR service delivery
- Champion and accelerate an excellent company culture with new programs and engagement initiatives
- Identify & facilitate process improvement projects to drive efficiency
- Other tasks as assigned

**Experience**
- Sound knowledge of federal and provincial employment legislations
- Solid understanding of HR best practices, policies, and procedures
- Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role and capacity
- Advanced knowledge of MS Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, & Power Point)
- HRIS software Super user experience

**Education**
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Labour Relations, Human Resources, or other related discipline
- Other: CHRP Designation (asset)
