The Oakville Golf Club is seeking a dedicated and hardworking **Turf and Grounds Crew Team Member** to join our active and exciting team. Established in 1921, The Oakville Golf Club is one of the oldest private clubs in the Greater Toronto Area, and the only Private club in Oakville. Our 9 Hole course is perfectly situated along Sixteen Mile Creek, just minutes from downtown Oakville.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Daily Operations & Course set-up
- Maintenance of Greens, Tees, Fairways & Rough - Mowing, Rolling, Blowing etc.
- Maintenance of Sand Traps, Gardens, Trees
- Property checks - maintaining a well-kept exterior of the Clubhouse and its surroundings
- Operation of light equipment such as small engine hand-powered tools, riding mowers, walk mowers, line trimmers, utility vehicles, tractors, etc.
- Raking and removal of leaves and other debris
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions - Work is performed outdoors
- Effective communication skills with co-workers, management and members
- Assistance with project work

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Experience in golf course maintenance, landscaping or posses plant knowledge **is considered an** **asset, but not required.**:

- Comfortable working in all weather
- Strong work ethic - punctual, reliable, team player, flexible, good attitude, detail oriented, effective communicator and enthusiastic
- Must be able to work both individually and as part of a team.
- Commitment to working in a safe manner, following all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
- Physical ability to independently lift heavy objects (Asset)
- Must have a reliable source of transportation; able to start work early morning (6am); ability to work weekends and holidays during the golfing season**.**

**WORK HOURS**:

- Full time (35-45 hours/week); Part time (25-35 hours/week)
- Overtime and flexible hours may be required during peak times or as directed by the Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent

**COMPENSATION**:

- Full time/Part time employment from April - November
