**About the Opportunity**:
Expression of Interest for sponsorship to attend the Emergency Nursing Program (ENP). The program will be 16 weeks in length. It will include both full-time and part-time study aimed at ensuring the nurse achieves the knowledge, skills and abilities required to meet the program competencies. The program will be aligned with a transition to practice approach, with blended clinical and study time, that will support the nurse in transferring program competencies into their Emergency care practice. Students accepted into the program will also be scheduled for regular periods of orientation in the emergency environment with the purpose of providing further support in transitioning to this specialized area. **Tentative start date: September 5, 2023**

This is an educational opportunity that is available to current Registered Nurses interested in attending the Emergency Nursing Program (ENP). RNs who successfully complete the ENP program will be considered for current vacancies in our Central Zone Emergency Departments, specifically the following:

- QEII Health Science Center Emergency Department
- Dartmouth General Emergency Department
- Cobequid Community Health Center Emergency Department
- Hants Community Hospital Emergency Department

Successful applicants will agree to complete the program and continue working for a minimum of twelve (12) months as a Registered Nurse in the assigned unit and will be required to sign a Return of Service Agreement.

**About You**:

- Currently working as a Registered Nurse within Nova Scotia Health
- Minimum of one (1) year acute care experience required
- IMCU experience preferred
