**What can I expect to do in this role?**: In this role, you will:

- provide group leadership for a variety of technical and operational duties as well as monitoring responsibilities for the successful day-to-day operation of the park
- assist with resource management projects
- ensure facilities and equipment are properly maintained
- perform administrative duties such as correspondence, ordering equipment and purchasing supplies
- carry out routine facility inspections, as well as ensure their normal operations

**How do I qualify?**:
**Mandatory**:

- You have the ability to be designated as Park Warden and meet and maintain the ministry certification criteria and standards in Use of Force training.
- You have or the ability to obtain an emergency first aid certificate.
- You are able to work shifts, weekends and holiday as required.

**Technical knowledge**:

- working knowledge of resource management principles, policies and practices applicable to parks
- possess a working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act

**Equipment and building operation and maintenance**:

- working knowledge of the operation and maintenance of a variety of office equipment and light powered equipment such as lawnmowers, boats, small hand tools, etc.
- working knowledge of general building and utility maintenance

**Interpersonal and communication skills**:

- interpersonal skills to interact effectively with staff and visitors and to provide park information to stakeholders
- communication skills to produce reports and correspondence

**Leadership skills**:

- demonstrated leadership skills to provide guidance to staff, accept responsibility and in making decisions

**Independence and organizational skills**:

- organizational skills and the ability to work independently and follow and carry out instructions
