Purpose:
Responsible to ensure that all parts, machines, and sub-assemblies are built to specifications, drawings and BOM requirements. Maintaining the standard of quality expected by Unifiller Systems Inc.

Primary Duties:

- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work
- Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders
- Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers, Mills, turns, and understand all shop tool equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products
- Reads, interprets, and follows drawings, BOM’s and other specifications to determine welding/fabricates requirements
- Ensures that all products meet specified tolerances, while following and meeting all quality standards essential to Unifiller Systems standards
- Assists with training of new employees when requested
- Maintains safe work practices by using all required safety equipment and procedures
- Maintains work area in a neat and orderly manner to facilitate efficient processes and good safety practices
- Carries out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Obtained Red Seal Machinist designation or is currently enrolled as an apprentice program is an asset
- Manufacturing experience, working with stainless steel an asset
- Experience using ERP software is an asset
- Mechanical aptitude
- Able to work with team members from different backgrounds and cultures
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational, time management skills and ability to multitask
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and is able to exhibit a professional attitude and image with a commitment to quality service
- Work under pressure and maintain a calm focus during hectic periods
- Able to lift minimum 50lbs
