**Your opportunity**:
We are recruiting for an Anthropology Laboratory Technician to provide teaching support services for the undergraduate anthropology labs. You will report to the Lab Space Committee Chair and contribute to the efficient and successful operations of all undergraduate Anthropology lab. In coordination with other course instructors, you will have specific course assignments, and be responsible for preparing all labs in the various forms with required equipment to specific labs. Your essential role in maintaining standard operating procedures, equipment inventories, and catalogs of major assets has a direct impact on the lab experience of faculty and students, and the effectiveness of lab experiments.

**Your responsibilities will include**:

- Provides laboratory support/services by overseeing day-to-day operational needs for one or more labs/workshops
- Performing lab experiments that requires great precision and attention to detail and demonstrating procedures to students; and/or employees on lab techniques, experimental procedures, and protocols
- Provides general laboratory maintenance by preparing, assembling and setting-up material, equipment and supplies used in teaching and/or research labs
- Provides guidance and/or direction by acting as a technical resource on laboratory protocols, and experimental procedures and equipment
- Developing material acquisition strategies and plans that support preservation and research needs

**Essential Qualifications**:

- Bachelor of Science Degree in Anthropology/Biology or equivalent disciplines
- Minimum three years related experience working in a laboratory setting; preferably within a university setting
- Must be familiar with Anthropological fossil species and human skeletal remains and ability to operate the following equipment: Anthropological measuring instruments and be willing to be trained to use 3D printers
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; and organizational skills with attention to details
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Must have the ability to exercise sound judgment
- Must have the physical stamina to effectively carry out the duties associated with the position as this position involves a considerable amount of walking and standing on a daily basis and occasional lifting
