**Hours**: 7:00am to 3:00pm.

**Key Responsibilities**:Supporting the individualized care plans of residents, the UCP provides medication administration and supervision services as well as charting on the health and wellbeing of all residents. The UCP is responsible to ensure the best quality of life for the resident, and exceptional customer service for them and their guests.

**As a positive and active contributor, your key duties will include**:

- Medication administration
- Medication checks, inventory counts, reorders
- Communication with physicians, pharmacies, family members, etc
- Vitals monitoring - blood pressure, O2, glucose
- Resident assessments including falls management
- Wound care
- Chart/eMAR documentation on changes, behaviours and general care of residents
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Assist PSW with call bells as needed
- Assist with resident personal care as needed
- Performs other related duties as required
- Previous work experience in a UCP capacity is an asset
- Previous work experience in a PSW or DSW capacity is a requirement
- Successful completion of secondary school or equivalent
- Post secondary education in a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program, Developmental Service Worker (DSW) program or Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) program - **first year completed** through an accredited college or institute
- First Aid/CRP Certificate
- Record Check including Vulnerable Sector screening (within 6 months)
- TB screening (within 6 months)
- Minimum 2 Covid vaccinations
- Influenza vaccination (2022)
- Ability to read and communicate effectively
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Demonstrated empathy and understanding of the needs of seniors
- Effective interpersonal relationship and conflict resolution skills
- Must have a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness
- Must be able to operate related equipment

**Working Conditions include**
- Ability to exert equivalent of lifting, pushing, pulling up to 50lbs between 25%-50% of the shift
- Job requires regular exposure to challenging conditions and hazards/chemicals (laundry/cleaning products) (more than 50% of the time)
- Ability to organize tasks and work under strict time constraints with occasional exposure to challenging conditions more than 50% of the time
- Ability to maintain focus an occasional high level of concentration for 20% to 50% of ones shift
- Ability to multi task and switch tasks and endure interruptions with agility 20% to 50% of ones shift

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: From $18.76 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week

Additional pay:

- Overtime pay

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Belleville, ON K8N 1L9: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

**Experience**:

- PSW/DSW: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- PSW, DSW Certification or completed 1st year of RPN program (required)
