**What responsibilities will you have in this role?**

The Gender and Sexual Violence Prevention & Education Coordinator supports the work of the Sexual Violence Prevention & Education portfolio. Working as a member of a dynamic multidisciplinary team within the Office of Anti-Racism Equity & Human Rights Services, the Gender and Sexual Violence Prevention & Education Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Sexual Violence Response Advisor to develop education and learning opportunities, resources, and tools to increase awareness of issues contributing to gender and sexual violence and support cultivating a culture of consent within the George Brown College Community.
- Develops and facilitates training and education opportunities for staff, faculty, and students, that support a culture of consent within the George Brown College Community.
- Displays and utilizes critical frameworks (e.g., Trauma-Informed Practice, intersectionality, Anti-Racism, Anti-oppression, etc.) to inform the development of educational materials and content.
- Supports the development of campaigns and communications which educate the community on topics such as:

- Sexual Violence Prevention
- Upstander Behaviours
- Responding to Sexual Violence Disclosures
- Healthy Sexuality & relationships
- Consent & Consent Culture
- Harm-reduction
- Trauma-informed approaches
- Rape culture & sexual violence myths
- Utilizes knowledge of best practices in adult learning, program development, implementation, and evaluation.
- Effectively engages and cultivates relationships with relevant stakeholders - ex. Student Association, Communications.
- Utilizes strong project management skills to support efficient program development and delivery.
- Demonstrates proficiency in workshop facilitation and group dynamics and management.
- Collaborates with the Sexual Violence Response Advisor and the Communications team to develop and disseminate social media campaigns and internal communications.
- Collaborates with the Sexual Violence Response Advisor to create informational resources, in a variety of formats, including print media, newsletters, and videos.
- Coordinates workshops, trainings, and events that educate students, staff, and faculty about gender and sexual violence through an intersectional, anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens.
- Supports the coordination of internal committees related to Sexual Violence Prevention and Education portfolio.
- Extensive knowledge of best practices in designing instructional materials for online and in-person delivery.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple training initiatives simultaneously.
- Supports the maintenance of current information and resources on Sexual Violence Response.
- Monitors and provides content updates for the Sexual Violence and Sexual Assault Support webpage.
- Occasional evening, or after-hours programming and travel between campuses required.

**What qualifications do you need for this role?**
- A diploma (3 years) in a relevant program and a minimum of four years’ experience in developing and executing workshops and resources. An equivalent combination of education and experience (including lived experience) will also be considered.
- Knowledge of the implications of intersectionality and the social barriers persons may face based on their multiple identities.
- Demonstrated experience using trauma-informed, anti-racist and anti-oppressive approaches and intersectional framework in training design and delivery.
- Sound knowledge of human rights, sexual and gender-based violence and related policy.
- Proficiency in the use of MS Office Suite and other presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Canva, Prezi).
- Excellent communication skills, ability to present to multiple audiences and create written material.
- Ability to manage and plan multiples and monitor and evaluate progress and outcomes.
- Demonstrated commitment in delivering excellent service to others as this is key in supporting the success of our students and our college community.
