Description of Assignment
Effective September 1st, 2023.

Full Time Continuing Elementary Counsellor.

The Elementary Counsellor will support students in various elementary school throughout the District. Schools will be determined in consultation with the Director of Instruction, Inclusive Education.

Special Qualifications Required
- Training and experience teaching at the elementary level
- A minimum of three years successful teaching experience
- Master's degree in Counselling Psychology or a related field from an institution recognized by the Teacher Regulation Branch, with training in school counselling theory and techniques.
- A professional teaching certificate and be a full member of the British Columbia Teachers' Federation and College of Teachers
- Applicant must possess a valid BC Driver's Licence and have a vehicle available
- Proven ability to work independently
- Demonstrated knowledge of district and community resources
