The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements of the project.

**Responsibilities**:

- Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders and design teams.
- Develop project plans, including project breakdown structure, schedules, and resource allocation.
- Obtain necessary approvals and support for project initiation and change orders.
- Manage the day-to-day activities of construction projects ensuring adherence to project plans and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Coordinate and allocate resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Assist in the coordination of shop fabrication scheduling, logistics and coordination of site installation.
- Perform take-offs and obtain accurate information to procure material and subcontractor pricing pertaining to site instructions and change notices.
- Implement project management best practices methodology to improve project outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and quality requirements.
- Set clear expectations, provide guidance, and mentor team members to ensure project success.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Facilitate meetings, discussions, and reviews to drive project progress and resolve any challenges.
- Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal departments, to ensure alignment and timely project delivery.
- Identify project risks assessments and implement appropriate mitigation plans.
- Ensure that all quality standards and best practices throughout the project to evaluate and propose best practices for future projects.
- Perform project reviews and quality control measures to verify compliance with client requirements.
- Maintain accurate project documentation including project plans, schedules, reports, and any technical specifications.
- Prepare progress reports, highlighting key milestones, issues, and risks.
- Communicate project status, progress, and results to senior management and client.

**Requirements**:

- 10+ years proven experience as a Construction Project Manager. Steel experience is a desired asset.
- In-depth knowledge of construction and engineering principles, practices, and project management methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in project management software tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
- Strong problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Clear understanding of all safety regulations and compliance standards in construction and engineering.
- BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field.
- PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
- Experience in commercial construction.
- Estimating experience is a favorable asset.
- BIM program knowledge is a favorable asset.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the OHS Act.
