Field Trainer - Job Description
**About us**
WingsUp is a quick service restaurant franchise system focused on takeout and delivery. We take pride in serving the best tasting chicken wings and sandwiches, and we are looking for an individual that shares our passion for quality, and drive for perfection. We have locations across the GTA and Southern Ontario, and are growing quickly. In addition to all of our fresh foods, some of the most important ingredients at WingsUp are the great people who make up our team.
**ABOUT THE POSITION**
In this role, you’ll be leading the training of new franchisees in the WingsUp systems, processes and procedures such as.
- **Train and coach new Franchise Partner on operations. **Teach new WingsUp Franchise Partners how to operate a WingsUp restaurant. Train on kitchen procedures, customer service, POS operation and other equipment operation and maintenance as per the WingsUp systems.
- **Train and coach new Franchise Partner on restaurant management. **Teach new WingsUp Franchise Partners how to recruit, train, and coach their staff. Train on counting and understanding inventory, food cost, ordering. Train on scheduling, labour cost, and sales forecasting. Train on reading POS reports, reconciling deposits and cash trays.
- **Review Franchise Partner progress through the WingsUp training program.** Assess and prepare daily reports on franchisee competency and understanding with all aspects of the training program. Assess readiness for progression in each stage of the training progress, and readiness for grand opening. Report regularly to management on progress, strengths, areas of opportunity, and concerns.
- **Train and coach new staff in pre-opening training program. ** Train and coach new staff alongside Franchise Partners in pre-open lead-up.
- **New Store Setup.** Prepare new stores for open day alongside franchisee and new team. Place opening orders, including inventory and smallwares. Set up kitchen for operation, including smallware and spec sheet placement. Test POS systems. Ensure final health inspections are booked and performed, and pre-open store cleaning is performed.
- **Provide initial on-site support for store openings.** Provide hands-on support for new stores. Support, coach and anchor kitchen with new store grand openings. Assist franchisee with preparing for any grand opening events.
**ABOUT YOU**
- **You’re experienced. **You have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in restaurant kitchens, and 2 years’ experience in restaurant management. Experience with franchise systems is an asset.
- **You lead by example. **You lead from the front, and can teach by example. You aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty
- **You share our passion for excellence. **You take pride in helping others succeed. You want to start people off on the right path, and never compromise on quality.
- **You’re a great communicator. **You can work with, teach and lead people from diverse backgrounds.
- **You’re comfortable working in restaurants at peak times.** You’re comfortable with working afternoons and evenings, Wednesday - Sunday as well as being flexible to train opens and closes.
- **You’re able to travel. **You’re flexible in traveling to various training sites and new WingsUp locations in Ontario
**Salary**: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
