Pauktuutit Inuit Women of Canada (Pauktuutit) is the national representative organization of Inuit women in Canada. Our mission is to foster a greater awareness of the needs of Inuit women and create change to advance women’s full social, economic, and cultural participation in communities in Inuit Nunangat, as well as cities across Canada where Inuit live.

Pauktuutit, as the national voice of Inuit women in Canada, has a key role to play in ensuring a gender-equality lens in policies impacting Inuit Women and in promoting greater progress in priority areas for Inuit women and children, across health and well-being, violence, and abuse prevention - safety, and socio-economic development. Our ability to do so depends heavily on partnerships across government departments, key funders, Inuit community groups and other stakeholder organizations.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE**:

- Collaborating and interfacing across departments and functions, to effectively support communications-related activities.
- Under the leadership of the Communications Manager, plan, document and manage the social media plan to amplify messaging, programs, campaigns and projects; ensuring plans and processes are right-sized for the organization’s budget and human resources and aligned with our strategic objectives and public affairs plan.
- Maintain and support the expansion of Pauktuutit's website including content updates and ongoing user experience updates as well as troubleshooting and resolving technical problems.
- Create, curate and post dynamic digital content for our social media platforms in line with our Social Media Strategy and grow visibility
- Provide community management for our social media community by answering questions, countering misinformation and ensuring respectful conduct in a timely way.
- Develop and maintain templates and processes to capture corporate knowledge, document external communications protocols and streamline the delivery of services.
- Create, or coordinate the creation of a range of visual content (social media cards, infographics, etc.) to support communications, membership, business development, events and policy initiatives.
- Process translation requests for the organization through the translation service, ensuring organization commitment to our translation policy and brand standards.
- Support partnerships with external allies and influencers to broaden the reach of campaigns.
- Develop content for Pauktuutit social media platforms and provide analysis and strategic engagement
- Writes speaking notes for executive level interviews and engagements; Develop written materials including briefings, news releases, media statements and speaking notes for Pauktuutit representatives, including the President and Leadership
- Retain a strong knowledge base and keep up to date in topics related Inuit women.
- Other duties as required.

**ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Minimum 4 years experience in a communications role preferably in Not-for-Profit organization in a professional communications environment with experience in social media management and quick response.
- An excellent communicator and storyteller, who is clear, concise, and articulate, with the ability to communicate in a professional and engaging manner.
- Excellent writing skills, with experience and comfort writing for external, executive, and social media audiences. Strong attention to detail especially when editing.
- Experience developing, implementing, and evaluating communications plans and materials.
- Strong organizational abilities and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, multitask and prioritize quickly changing workload.
