Site Superintendant

**MSB** is a strong force in both new construction and mechanical service within the GTA. **Site Superintendent (Plumbing and Steam Fitting)**

MSB Mechanical is a leading unionized mechanical contractor in GTA, specializing in large-scale projects across various sectors. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality work, maintaining strong relationships with our clients, and upholding the safety and well-being of our team.

**Key Tasks and Responsibilities**

Manpower
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and that any potential delays are identified and addressed promptly.
- Organize and plan site logistics (including plans and fabs);
- Mentor the site's workforce and provide support as needed;
- Resolve site conflicts with various plumbers/foremen;
Complete weekly and monthly labour schedules
- Discuss with foremen the productivity/efficiency of the workforce in place while respecting project budgets and labour hours;
- Review timesheets against the schedule.

Site visits
- Visit of the sites to answer all questions, ensure the proper functioning of the project, respect for the rules put in place by all, quality control, follow-up of PPE equipment, etc.;
- Pre-site visits and meetings with sales team members to determine costs, logistics, work to be performed, labor, etc.;
- Site visits to align work with project managers;
- Attend site and office meetings for coordination projects;
Plans
- Review plans as required with project managers/foremen/engineers (PEER reviews).

Piping Fabrication
- Follow up, check and occasionally take measurements on construction sites with draftsmen.
- For smaller projects, produce fab sheets for production

Subcontractors
- Communicate with subcontractors (thermal insulation, roofer, steel structure, electrical, etc.) to determine the scope of work and verify their work on site.

**Profile and skills we are looking for**
- High school diploma and/or Diploma of Vocational Studies.
- Valid Plumbing and/or Steam Fitting certification and Gas license required
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a foreman or in a supervisory role within the mechanical industry.
- Member of UA Local 46 in Good Standing will be required upon employment if not in union now.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

**Type of employment**: permanent, full-time. **Start Date**: as soon as possible.
