**About This Opportunity**:
The Manager, Transportation Operations will provide training, leadership and guidance to a team of three Transportation Planners supporting the interplant shipments across Canada. This role is also responsible for managing the relationships and performance of the carrier partners. Additionally, you will support and lead any project work related to improved cost, service and efficiency across the transport network.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee transportation planning process for all Coca-Cola Canada Bottling Ltd. (CCCBL) Production Centre to Distribution Centre orders in Canada (approx. 85,000 orders per annum at an annual spend of $60M)
- Oversee the performance of our carrier partners (approximately 35 relationships) across Canada and carrier scorecard performance in conjunction with the regional transportation planners
- Provide orientation and ongoing training to outbound Transportation Planners (3) on the team
- Support and guide the Transportation Planners to manage their daily priorities and job requirements by providing regular advice, coaching and mentoring
- Act at SME for relevant technical questions around transportation
- Analyze trends affecting order execution, determine root cause & implement any corrective actions required
- Interact proactively with customers to ensure they receive on time, error free delivery performance.
- Work with supply planning to ensure orders are managed and adjusted to facilitate optimizing trailer loading and routing

**Qualifications**:

- Strong leadership skills in the areas of coaching, delegating, leadership, communication and presentation
- Skilled in the areas of analytical thinking, process & project management
- Experience working with the other supply chain functions and the customer base to support the requirements of the business and deliver superior service.
- Over 5 years’ related work experience, preferably in a consumer packaged goods industry
- Information Systems: Knowledge and use of existing CCCBL Information Systems (e.g., SAP, BluJay, Blue Yonder, etc) to generate necessary data. Ability to access, analyze and utilize information in a manner that adds value to the organization. Ability to propose system enhancements based on business needs.
- Knowledge of elements that make up the supply chain and the interrelationship between these elements. Ability to manage and execute strategies across the supply chain to reduce costs and gain efficiencies in the completion of a quality finished good. Ability to analyze, balance, synchronize and synergize all internal and external resources and assets to ensure the progress and ultimate completion of a finished good.
- Leadership or supervisory experience desired
- Strong knowledge of transportation industry and provider options and capabilities
- Bilingualism (French/English) would be an asset
