**Fiber Splicing Technician**

**Role & Responsibilities**:

- Analyze test results and have the ability to troubleshoot and correct any faults or defects
- Interpret and understand placing and splicing work plans
- This position requires that the individual be motivated and self-disciplined, able to work on his own or closely with other team members to optimize efficiency to ensure that the client’s due date(s) are met

**Expertise & Requirements**:

- Ability to interpret placing and splicing plans
- Competency in OTDR and other testing protocol an asset
- Must have a Drivers’ License and provide a current clean drivers abstract
- Ability to travel to various work sites as work load dictates
- Overtime required in applicable situations in order to meet customer delivery commitments; this could include some night and weekend work
- Work in all weather conditions

This role will give you the opportunity to work out of your home community. You will be provided with a company vehicle and will be assigned work at various locations throughout the region as required.
