Position Overview:
Join the Finning Canada family, part of the world’s largest Caterpillar dealer. Do you possess strong mechanical aptitude with a particular interest in heavy equipment? If so, the Temporary Heavy Equipment Operator role may be just the position you have been looking for.

In this position you will be organizing and maintaining the yard, loading and unloading equipment, and perform daily safety inspections including forklift, tooling and crane inspections.

Compensation Perks
- $41.69 / hour
- Paid vacation time
- Monday to Friday shift (5x2)
- Overtime available

**Job Description**:
- Maintain yard organization and cleanliness to align with Finning housekeeping and safety standards.- Support routine building and yard maintenance- Yard security during regular shift hours- Daily equipment safety inspections including fork lift, tooling and crane inspections- Loading and unloading equipment- Record keeping and administration for shipping and receiving equipment- Accurately handle all incoming and outgoing paperwork.- Follow approved shipping and receiving protocol.- Load and unload customer parts and components.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience operating various types of heavy equipment with forklift experience including and up to 45,000 lbs capacity- Air brake endorsement is an asset- Basic computer skills- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a face paced team environment- A general understanding of shipping and receiving processes and procedures- Ability to follow all safety procedures and rules- A valid drivers license with a successful drivers abstract

Notes:
- This position is located at our Surrey branch on a 5x2 shift- Hourly rate: $41.69 / hour- This is a temporary position
