As a **Senior Residential Home Technician**, you’ll play a vital role in keeping homes safe, functional, and comfortable. Your expertise and dedication will make a difference in the lives of our clients every day.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Diagnosis, test, and perform minor repairs on mechanical systems such as furnaces, water heaters, humidifiers, HRVs, AC units, and more.
- Inspect residential home components, identify potential issues, and recommend necessary repairs or replacements.
- Interpret manuals, technical drawings, and manufacturer specifications for repairs.
- Create sketches, diagrams, and detailed estimates for materials and labor required for specific projects.

**What We’re Looking For**:

- **Education & Experience**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Grade 12).
- 5-7 years of experience in residential construction or related fields.
- Post-secondary education or training in a trade (preferred).
- HVAC experience (an asset).
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in mechanical systems, plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and troubleshooting.
- Strong manual dexterity and coordination for precision repairs and maintenance tasks.
- **Personal Attributes**:

- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
- Commitment to safety and attention to occupational hazards.
- Client-focused mindset with a dedication to building lasting relationships.
- **Additional Requirements**:

- Physical fitness for lifting, carrying, and climbing.
- Valid Alberta Class 5 driver’s license (or equivalent).
- Must pass an Enhanced Police Information Check and be bondable.

**What We Offer**:

- **Hours**: 37.5 hours/week (Monday-Friday) with a rotating on-call schedule.

- Hourly rate: $32.00-$37.00 ($62,400.00-$72,150 annually).

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on buildings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Conduct minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work as needed.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or clients.
- Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in good working order.
- Assist with the installation of appliances, fixtures, and other equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.
- Document completed work orders and report any major issues to management.

**Experience**
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in maintenance tasks.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- A valid driver's license is a plus for transportation between job sites.
