**Job Description**:
The Capital Asset Analyst is responsible for the College’s capital asset accounts, including the processing, adjustment, and reconciliation of all capital asset transactions. This position analyses, reviews, and reconciles accounting and reporting for capital assets, general ledgers, and related financial and budgetary data (e.g. variance analysis). The Capital Asset Analyst coordinates training on the usage of an integrated capital asset management system and supports Financial Services leadership in developing policies and/or procedures as they relate to capital assets. This position provides support in other projects as required, in accordance to established College policies and procedures, and ensures the necessary documentation is maintained.

Qualifications Required

Education & Experience
- Two year accounting diploma or enrolment in the CPA program with substantial completion of the CPA PEP entrance requirements. CPA designation or enrolment in the CPA PEP program considered an asset.
- Four (4) years of recent related accounting experience administering fixed assets and general ledger, using spreadsheet software and enterprise-wide, integrated financial system (e.g. Workday, SAP, Oracle).
- Experience in post-secondary institution is an asset.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of budget, finance, accounting and control procedures, principles and practices.
- Possess strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience in developing and maintaining spreadsheets in Excel.

- Ability to create, develop and maintain complex spreadsheets and prepare related analyses.
- Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimum guidance and in accordance with relevant policies and procedures.
- Ability to communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work under strict time constraints.
- Ability to work effectively with a variety of individuals and groups, including all members of the College.
- Ability to assess user needs and respond as required.

Hours & Days of Work: 8:30am - 4:45pm Monday to Friday.

$27.69 - $31.74 per hour
