**About the Role**

Con-Elco group is currently seeking to hire a full-time, permanent Accounting Supervisor for part of our diversified operations in companies involved in New Home Construction, Commercial Property Construction/ Rental, Recycling, Manufacturing, and Real Estate Investments. You will be responsible to perform as well as supervise daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, General Ledger, monitoring construction job costs, financial analysis and preparing monthly and yearly financial statements. Your active involvement in the ERP system and its continuous development would be required. You will be responsible to supervise subordinates in growing business ventures. You will report to the CFO.
- **Key skills**:_
- Strong Accounting knowledge in a job costing environment
- Excellent overall analytical ability, desire to understand business operations, Make the best use of the ERP system to deliver detailed financial information and support analysis
- Strong systems capabilities.
- Possess Good Supervisory Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with an ability to effectively communicate and problem solve
- **Role Requirements**:_
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent)
- Full or part Qualified in an Accounting designation
- Minimum 5 years of Canadian Accounting experience
- Minimum 2 years of Supervisory Experience in Accounting
- Minimum 2 years of Construction Job costing in an mid level ERP system and Supervisory Experience.
- Advance Excel skills (must complete testing as required)
- Experience with mid-market ERP systems is required. Experience with Jonas Construction Software is preferred
- Excellent understanding of accounting standards, GST/HST, Canadian income tax
