**Primary Purpose**: The Buyer is responsible for the execution and efficient replenishment of inventory to meet forecasted customer demand and optimal inventory levels.

**Essential Job Functions**:

- Review replenishment suggestions and execute purchase orders for the manufacturing plant, ensuring timely processing to meet optimal stock levels and demand including non-inventory purchases (office supplies etc.)
- Collaborate with suppliers to maintain purchase order status, track shipments, and resolve discrepancies.
- Communicate any supply chain issues, inventory shortages, or extended lead times to Purchasing Manager.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and avoid stock-outs or excess inventory.
- Collaborate with Purchasing Supervisor, production teams, and suppliers to manage lead times and minimize supply chain disruptions.
- Review all transfer order requests at the plant, and using parameters set out by Purchasing Manager, communicate fulfillment approvals to the shipping location as well as the receiving location.
- Process all purchase orders to ATI including distribution consumables.
- Assist in managing stockroom operations, specifically related to Fastenal inventory management.
- Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock counts, and initiate replenishment orders to maintain optimal stock availability.
- Collaborate with the stockroom team to optimize inventory organization and storage practices.
- Process KANBAN purchasing for filter and sheet metal components.
- Set up and maintain KANBAN cards, monitor consumption rates, and initiate replenishment orders based on KANBAN signals.
- Collaborate with purchasing supervisor to establish and maintain efficient KANBAN processes.
- Manage sheet metal replenishment process, including monitoring stock levels, initiating purchase orders, and ensuring timely delivery.

**Education and Work Experience**:

- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Strong understanding of replenishment planning, inventory management, and purchasing principles.
- Proficient in using inventory management software and ERP systems.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- Knowledge of sheet metal and filter components is a plus.
