**LOCATION**: Hanmer, Ontario
**EMPLOYMENT TYPE**: Full Time

Beamish Construction is looking for a hard-working, self-motivated employee with a proven record of safety and reliability to fill the position of Estimator/Project Coordinator to work in the Sudbury area. The Estimator/Project Coordinator will require a high level of motivation, professionalism and independence. This is a full-time permanent position available with competitive wages and benefit packages.

**JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Review of contract drawings, specifications, and quotes at the bidding stage
- Quantity take-offs from the contract drawings and specifications
- Preparation of an estimate using Bid to Win or similar software.
- Prepare and distribute RFQs, and solicit quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
- Complete tender closing and tender submissions
- Build project schedule and budget
- Assist field staff with daily tasks
- Monthly payment certificates to the owner and subcontractors and suppliers
- Develop a quality control plan with the QC manager and monitor compliance.
- Display professionalism toward our company and customers ;
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures: safety standards operations, maintenance, training, cleanliness standards, etc.
- Perform other duties as assigned

**JOB QUALIFICATIONS**:
**Education**:

- University Degree in Civil Engineering or College Diploma as a Civil Technologist/Technician
- Recent experience with highway construction projects is an asset.
- Valid G Driver’s license

**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities**:

- Strong computer skills familiar with AutoCAD, civil 3D, MS Word, Excel and Outlook and Microsoft Project would be an asset
- Ability to work full days Monday -Friday and the occasional Saturday as required during the Summer. Night work may be required.
- Ability to adapt to last-minute changes as dictated by the needs of our customers.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Ability to work outside in challenging weather conditions when required.
- Ability to lift 25 kg
