THOAR Mining provides a wide variety of services in the support and operation of mining, ranging from project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and mining equipment operation.

We have an immediate need for two highly motivated, safety-conscious** Journeyperson Pipefitters **at the **McClean Lake, SK **uranium mine site. These positions are** **temporary full-time.** **The project is anticipated to begin on September 7 - September 28, 2023, with the possibility of extension or transition to other projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Install, maintain, and repair all gas-fired equipment and piping systems and perform required maintenance on all plumbing related equipment;
- Use testing equipment to check for leaks;
- Perform QA/QC checks for all work performed;
- Repair and troubleshoot of heat, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC);
- Installation and repair of ABS, Copper, HDPE, PVC, and Steel piping systems;
- Ability to work from blueprints and P&ID’s;
- Knowledge of regulatory and code requirements;
- Ability to troubleshoot malfunctions, diagnose equipment problems, and repair accordingly;
- Follow instructions precisely with the ability to carry out daily work instructions in a timely and efficient manner with limited supervision;
- Perform individual tasks and work effectively as part of the team to ensure productivity and efficiency;
- Finding creative solutions and effective problem solving of issues that arise;
- Communication and cohesive alignment with other departments in the mine;
- Work safely and collaboratively as part of a crew.

**Qualifications**:

- Valid Pipefitter Journeyperson Ticket;
- Gas-fitting experience is an asset;
- Minimum combined five years’ experience in the following areas including, mine air heating, propane distribution operation and maintenance and systems, residential/commercial heating ventilation and air conditioning systems, and fire system maintenance;
- Fall Arrest and Confined Space Training is required;
- Industrial/mining experience considered an asset;
- Valid First AID;
- Valid WHMIS and SCOT are considered an asset;
- Ability to communicate effectively and constructively within a team environment;
- Good verbal and written communication;
- Computer experience required for recordkeeping and documentation;
- Commitment to safe work practices and achieved an excellent safety record;
- Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.

**Client Requirements**:

- Proof of full vaccination will be required;
- A pre-employment drug and alcohol test will be required.

**Shift Schedule**:12-hour shifts with the ability to work both day and night;
