We, at Leggett & Platt Inc., are searching for a Shipper to join out Northfield Metal Products team** **to support our Work Furniture business. In our Furniture Components business, we design, manufacture, and distribute a wide range of components and finished products that enhance comfort, motion, and style in the work and home furniture industry. From surface-critical bent tube assemblies, chair mechanisms, bases, arms, seats, and backs, our Furniture Components business brings diverse world-class manufacturing capabilities together in the production and assembly of high-quality products. As a Shipper, you will be accountable for supervising the day-to-day shipping and distribution operations. The team you will be working with has a long tenure and values collaboration

**So, what will you be doing as a Shipper?**
- Oversee the handling of crucial shipping documents, including advanced shipping notices, packing slips, and bills of lading
- While coordinating the movement of packages from the preparation stage to their final shipment
- Collaborating with customers, carriers, and warehouses to effectively manage the delivery of products, ensuring their prompt arrival and proper handling
- Review and maintain schedule weekly to plan for upcoming shipments to ensure on time delivery
- Work with the supervisors, production manager and customer service to ensure all products are shipped to the customer on time
- Ensure compliance to legal regulations and company policies

**To be successful in this role, you’ll need**:

- Strong attendance record
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Proficient will all shipping procedures
- Post-secondary education in a related field
- A minimum of 6 months experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work individually but be a team player
- Critical thinking skills to identify alternative solutions
- Lift truck experience
