**Job Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Agent to join our team in providing exceptional care and support to seniors. The Recreation Agent plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents by preparing materials and environments that support a diverse range of activities. The primary goal is to foster autonomy, socialization, and recreation, while contributing to the physical and psychological well-being of the residents. This role requires effective communication skills and a genuine passion for caregiving.

**Responsibilities**
- Animate activities to promote fine and gross motor skills, example: morning exercises, baking, pottery and art classes, beading and bowling.
- Observe and provide comments to the nursing staff on the behavior and attitudes of users and participate in the analysis of residents’ needs.
- Promotes the participation and assists the Recreation Director and the members in the users’ committee meetings.
- Work alongside of volunteers to help with the activities program as well as specialized entertainment.
- Welcome new residents and families to the residency and encourage their involvement in activities through invitation.
- Perform one-on-one activities for residents who are unwilling or incapable of participating in group activities.
- Complete a daily report on attendance of each activity (morning and afternoon, group and one-on-one)
- Conducts all video calls scheduled by the Recreation Director.
- Treat all residents and staff with utmost respect.
- Take pictures during every activity and event to share to the Director.
- Regularly visit residents in their rooms to provide a sense of community.
- Assist Recreation Director with necessary tasks.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe environment, as well as clean the materials and station used after every activity.

**Skills**:

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with seniors, families, and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and understanding while working with elderly individuals.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining resident care plans.
- Strong time management skills.
- Creative in Arts and Crafts.
- Ability to motivate the residents, to converse and use good judgement in meeting the residents' needs.
- A background in senior care or caregiving will be advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: From $22.18 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
