**Shipping Clerk**

The Shipping Clerk is responsible for supporting the departments shipping activities.

**Duties & Responsibilities**:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty at a competent level. - Completes different forms and prepares documents
- Maintains files as directed
- Makes necessary verifications against documents, prepares the merchandise, and moves to the appropriate area.
- Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons
- Pick and pack orders with use of scanners
- Perform inventory cycle counts when needed
- Assembles wooden or cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers
- Inserts items into boxes, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding
- Nails covers on wooden crates and binds boxes with metal tape, using strapping machine
- Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies
- Operate shrink wrap machine for pallet freight orders
- May operate tier-lift truck or use power jack to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping-and-receiving platform to storage or work area
- Makes necessary verifications against documents, prepares the merchandise, and moves to the appropriate area
- Maintains storage area, organizes, and places stock on shelves. Ensures area is secure at all times
- Work effectively in a team to achieve production and quality goals
- Other duties as assigned by management
- Adhere to Condair’s Health & Safety policies

**Requirements include**:

- High School and/or 1-2 years recent experience in shipping and or receiving
- Good verbal communication skills
- Able set targets and make decisions; ability to work accurately and methodically under pressure
- Easily recognizes a series of numbers; ability to transfer them without error
- Basic working experience with computers and MS products
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Forklift licenses considered an asset
