Linck Child, Youth & Family Supports (“Linck” or the “Agency”) requires one (1) Youth Adviser. This is a contract position working 35 hours per week, beginning in May 2023, and lasting 8 weeks.

The incumbent will collect information from local youth as they bring the lived experience of mental health, child welfare and service utilization that will assist us to make a better system. The incumbent will help the Agency towards our goals of reducing stigma of mental health and child welfare supports; providing better supports to families/caregivers; a peer support-mentor program; improved feedback mechanisms so youth have an easier way to give us their ideas and suggestions; social opportunities for local youth to plan and participate in; creating a meeting space that is friendly and inclusive of all youth from a diversity, equity and inclusion perspective; and more

**Qualifications**:

- between 15 and 30 years of age (inclusive) at the start of employment per funding requirements;
- lived experience as a recipient of mental health or child protection services would be considered an asset;
- attainment of, or progression towards post-secondary education in a related field of study;
- ability and willingness to work as an integral member of a team;
- good oral and written communication skills;
- strong time management skills;
- the ability to communicate in French is an asset;
- preference will be given to persons with a strong understanding and extensive experience working with other cultures, heritages and traditions; and
- a commitment to developing the highest quality culturally-appropriate service possible for the various communities that we serve.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract

**Salary**: $15.75 per hour
