The Development Technician must be able to safely produce high quality and accurate products with particular attention on time and cost parameters with supervision. The Assistant Development Technician must be reliable, punctual, enthusiastic, fit, and exercise the ability to withstand the rigors of field work, demanding hours and be able to change direction and projects with little notice. The Development Technician should be interested and focused on developing their technical skills.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 3 years of field experience
- Registered or eligible for registration with the ABCFP (considered an asset)
- Knowledge of forest engineering and timber development, including harvest planning, road layout & design, and deflection line analysis
- Knowledge of harvest & silvicultural systems
- Physically fit and interested in working in outdoor climates year round
- Experience working around trucks, ATV's, boats, float planes & helicopters
- Must be able to work camp shifts
