**Job Description**:
**Schedule**: This is an afternoon shift

**RESPONSIBLITIES and ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:

- Set up and operate the Prima Power, including punching, shearing and forming operations; various brake presses, EHRT Copper Bender, Boschert machine, CNC shear, Strippit and Punch.
- Operate Prima Night Train to remove and deliver parts, load raw material and unload scrap material.
- Set up and operate hoist, cranes and a variety of deburring equipment (hand sanders, strip sander, finishing mills etc.)
- Work from drawings or blueprints.
- Grind and buff any imperfections.
- Process work orders on dispatch through SAP (Systems Applications and Product) system or as required/instructed.
- Conduct Check-do-check process and complete daily reports.
- Troubleshoot any quality issues and proactively identify solutions.
- Order, receive and stock raw materials for the sheet metal department.
- Collect scrap metals and organize pickup with scrap metal dealer.
- Operate lift truck and material handling equipment.
- Accurately report task and times in Factory Talk Production Centre (FTPC) related to work orders and Critical to Quality (CTQ’s).
- Flexibility and adaptability to assume other roles and support other job families as required.
- May be required to assist, instruct and provide training to other employees.
- Participates in activities to increase job knowledge, including required training and certifications, job rotation programs and training and coaching of other employees.
- Participate in Behavioural Based Safety Training and contribute to the program.
- Participate in LEAN/Six Sigma Training and contribute to and make recommendations for process improvements and LEAN activities.
- Performs work in accordance with job -specific training procedures, follows work aids (DWIs, prints etc.,) and produces work that consistently meets quality standards.
- Ensure tasks are conducted in accordance with applicable employment, environmental, health, safety, quality, and legislation and or regulations (federal, provincial, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, etc.), as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures, 5S requirements and standards of business conduct.
- Creates an optimal work environment by establishing and maintaining positive and respectful work relationships.
- All other duties as required and assigned by supervision.

**Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Education**

SKILLS:

- Mechanical and technical aptitude
- Problem solving
- Blueprint reading
- Reading and understanding written instructions, i.e., CSPs and DWIs
- Utilizing a computer to view, log, and/or find appropriate job-related information, i.e., SAP, FTPC
- Interact with business system computer software and machinery efficiently
- Self-directed in a team environment
- Safe use of manual tools and, power tools and machinery
- Re-Tooling/Component Handling
- Understanding of forming principles such as bend allowance, radius etc.
- CNC Experience
- Tooling knowledge on all processes.

**EXPERIENCE and EDUCATION**:

- Level 3: 2 Years Related Experience, High School Education/GED

PREREQUISITE:

- Able to perform the duties and responsibilities of a Machine Operator Level 1P and 2P.
