**Badminton Coach**
Reporting to the Head Badminton Professional, this full time position is responsible for creating, managing, and fostering relationships with Club members to coach and lead both private Badminton lessons and group programs. Together with the Head Professional, they create an environment conducive to supporting all members in reaching their sport and recreation goals.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Provide and develop a comprehensive and inclusive Badminton program, appropriate for a diverse demographic and varying skill levels
- Teach private lessons, group programs and camps in Badminton involving all ages and levels of ability, employing latest teaching methods to consistently provide quality instruction. Incorporate members' short-term and long-term athletic goals into program offering to satisfy short-term interest and competitive aims.
- Continually work towards an expanded profitability for the Badminton Department and the Club in general.
- Effectively promote and enhance the visibility of Royal Glenora Club to the public when outside the Club at Badminton related events.
- Ensure that all Badminton members feel that they are an asset to the Club and that they have a say and input into the Badminton Department
- Promote all activities of Royal Glenora Club through on-going communication with members and staff.
- Inspect and report to the Badminton Manager/Head Coach any safety concerns or repairs that need to be made to the Badminton facilities.
- Continuously develop coaching skills through scheduled coach education opportunities and exposure to different coaching philosophies & approaches.
- Personal/professional conduct demonstrates RGC Core Values and Code of Conduct. Demonstrates ethical principles in all daily activities.
- Assumes personal responsibility for professional development. Actively promotes development of self and others through participation in professional organizations, educational opportunities, etc.
- Ensure that program, lesson, and event billings are accurately documented and submitted to the Head Professional prior to deadlines.
- Ability to work days, evenings and weekends
**REQUIREMENTS**
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ coaching experience
- Coach Certification
- NCCP Regional Coach Certification or higher. Equivalent experience or coaching education will be considered
- Education / Training in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Sport Administration is an asset
- Member in good standing with your respective Sport Association.
- Basic First Aid Training, CPR and AED Training.
- Clear Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check will be required.
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
