**Type: Hourly**

Kichton Contracting is seeking a motivated and adaptable individual to join our team. Kichton Contracting Ltd (KCL) has been in business since 1963 and is based out of Acheson, Alberta, Canada. KCL is classified as a medium-sized civil earthworks contractor. Our work ranges from residential earthworks, commercial site development, to industrial projects. Our services include grading design for all types of new commercial and industrial sites along with retrofitting existing sites to accommodate new site development.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- Maintain gradebook, as-built drawings, and inventory
- Set up, protect, and manage transit and trench safety
- Understand geodetic elevations, prints, and locates
- Record shots, mentor laborers, and communicate with Pipelayer
- Rig and prep pipes/structures safely; ensure backfilling
- Build and install manholes, ladder rungs, and F&C per specs
- Report issues to Foreman and maintain communication on site
- Ensure materials and trench safety before work begins
- Perform additional tasks as required

**Qualifications and Competencies**:

- Minimum 3 years' previous experience working in an underground infrastructure environment.
- Able to work in physically-demanding conditions
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and reliable transportation to and from site.
- Valid CSTS2020 certification
- Valid WHMIS2015 certification
- Valid Ground Disturbance certification
- Must be physically fit and able to lift 50lbs, unassisted.
- Must be 18 years of age or older

**Work Schedule**:

- Monday to Saturday
- 8-12 hour shifts
- Overtime as needed
