We are seeking an experienced **Blaster** responsible for assisting our crews in British Columbia. Although we are a union affiliated organization, being an active member is not a pre-requisite.

Job duties will include preparation of blasting plans, loading of and detonating blasts.

**Qualifications**:

- Blasting experience around houses and urban settings is considered an asset
- Have a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Natural ability to solve problems, communicate clearly and effectively;
- Be able to work flexible work hours based on job requirements;
- Enjoy working outdoors in a fast paced and challenging environment;
- Valid Canadian driver’s license, with a clean driving abstract;
- Experience working in the heavy civil construction industry
- Must possess an Urban Blasting Ticket
- Must possess a Mines Blasting Ticket
- Knowledge in blasting shearline and production techniques
- Understanding of the Worksafe requirements for Blasting
- Current TDG ticket
