a handyman/woman who is looking for an opportunity to develop and grow within their skillset and who possess the following skills:

- Neat appearance and good grooming
- Punctual and dependable - be available to work the required business hours established for serving customers, without tardiness, interruption, or early departure.
- Thorough and consistent
- Empathy and active listener
- Communication skills. Effective communication with fellow employees and customers enhances relationships, and results in customer retention.
- Interpersonal skills - ability to interact with others to help start, build, and sustain relationships
- Service demeanor. The professionalism, image, and reputation of Mr. Handyman rest
- predominately in a strong service strategy.

**What you need to succeed**
- **Experience.** 10+ years in carpentry and/or the trades (preferred)
- **Driving and Navigation.** Valid driver’s license and good driving record (required) with ability to read maps and navigate their way about the community
- **Agility and Stamina.** Must be able to stoop, bend, kneel, stretch, life, and carry in a manner consistent with normal house repair-maintenance activities. Must also safely achieve and sustain minimum production rates consistent with the standard 30 billable hours per week
- **Customer Service Professional**. Strong written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- **Initiative.** The handyman/woman is expected to travel directly to customers’ homes without stopping by the Mr. Handyman office and it may be necessary to work overtime in order to complete a job for a customer. A handyman/woman usually work alone without direct supervision.

**Job Requirements**
- Minor carpentry, including installation and repairs of cabinets, doors, drywall, and
- painting
- Miscellaneous plumbing, including installation of faucets, and bathroom fixtures
- Installation and repair of lighting fixtures and bulbs
- Assemble furniture
- Completing work orders and other administrative paperwork in a timely fashion
- Report all injuries immediately and must be immediately seen by a physician/clinic specified by the supervisor.
- Abide by all rules, regulations, and policies contained in the employee handbook, safety manual and employment agreement, including active participation in identifying, reporting and correcting situations affecting safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as required.

**Pay & Benefits**
- **Pay**: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour based on the amount of time they bill to a customer in the pay period.
- **Job Types**: Full-time,
- **Schedule**: Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
- **Location**: Edmonton, AB (In person)
