**Job Overview**: The Core Objectiveof the Store Manager of Carrier Food & Fuel you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our gas station convenience store, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for customers and staff. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of customer service, managing inventory, overseeing staff performance, and maximizing profitability.

**Location**: Relocation to Fort St. James is required. (Relocation Allowance will be provided)

**Reports to**: CEO, Nak’azdli Development Corporation

**Job Type**: Fulltime, 40 hours a week

**Benefits**:Extended health and dental, Pension Program.

Vacation: 3 Weeks of paid vacations

**(Willing to support with Permanent Residency after a few months into the job, must have a valid work permit)**

**Overview of Duties**:
**Hiring, Managing and Motivating Team Members (60%)**
- Recruit hire and train team members who are a great fit with the CFF culture of service excellence.
- Model the CFF-Store culture of accountability, service excellence, and growth-orientation and develop team members ability to demonstrate it in all customer interactions and every aspect of their role.
- Support staff to handle concerns in a way that surpasses customer expectations.
- Ignite enthusiasm with staff by promoting teamwork within all CFF-Store departments and business units as they evolve.
- Support team members to build long-term customer and vendor relationships
- Recognize success and achievements in high performers
- Provide regular, timely and constructive feedback to address performance issues in a proactive manner and resolve them before they become significant
- Enforce CFF-Store scheduling policy for holding employees accountable for excessive absences or tardiness
- Approve, manage and document employee time off, sick days, vacations, etc.
- Oversee safety and security of the employees, the store and surrounding areas, and ensure all incidents are documented
- Schedule staff to keep labor costs within key benchmarks while ensuring ability to continue to provide excellent service.

**Sales, Marketing and Promotions (25%)**
- Support the development and implementation of effective marketing strategies to increase total number of customers, sales per customer, and profit per sale.
- Motivate and manage team members to implement sales, marketing and promotions strategies daily and achieve revenue targets.
- Track sales data and measure results from promotions and marketing campaigns to continually refine sales and promotion strategies and optimize results.
- Analyze labor costs and ensure the correct mix of staff are scheduled to optimize sales

**Manage Suppliers and Inventory (15%)**
- Work with outside marketing experts to determine optimal inventory levels and product placement on shelves.
- Ensure appropriate merchandise stock levels, merchandise presentation, and signage in all areas and monitor performance of merchandising strategies according to sales analysis.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers to solve issues with supply, quality and delivery and to identify cost savings

**Job Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum of 3 years experience managing employees in a high-paced, high-volume retail environment is preferred.
- Previous experience with managing inventory and building relationships with suppliers.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience hiring, training, scheduling, and developing teams of front-line service workers is preferred.
- A valid driver’s license and a clean criminal record
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products and the Bullock POS system is preferred
- Comfortable learning and working with various computer programs
- Previous Food Experience is an asset

**Location / Working Conditions**:
The Carrier Food & Fuel - Store is located at 300 Highway 27 in Fort St James BC, a community of 1800 residents located 160 km NW of Prince George. It is expected that the CFF-Store Manager will reside in the Fort St James community.

**Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 annual**
