**CASUAL, ON-CALL - HAMILTON, ONTARIO**:
Spartan Response is actively recruiting to fill several positions for HazMat Technicians.
The HazMat Technicians are responsible for supporting the Emergency Response division under the direction of a HazMat Team Leader, with the execution of efficient, 24/7 HazMat response services in a professional and safe manner.
These positions report to the Field Operations Manager and are based out of our Hamilton office.
**_RESPONSIBILITIES _**:
**_Position Responsibilities: _**
- _Ability to support a hazardous spill operation in a team environment _
- _Technical understanding of spill response procedures, containers, products,regulatory expectations _
- _Ability to engage in a strong safety culture and follow compliance of health and safety regulations _
- _Strong communication skills _
- _Accuracy/attention to detail with job-specific procedures and documentation _
- _Other duties as assigned (Confined Space & Industrial Services) _
**_REQUIREMENTS _**:
**_Mandatory Experience & Skills: _**
- _Minimum of 1-year experience in hazardous materials emergency response _
- _Previous experience in chemical handling, transferring, and waste management _
**_Education & Industry _**
- _NFPA 472 Hazardous Materials Technician Level _
- _Confined Space Entry/Rescue Certification _
**_Licences: _**
- _Drivers License - Clean abstract _(G Class minimum. D Class Preferred) _
**_Hours of Work: _**
- _On-Call/Casual _
- _Shift work - Hours will vary to cover 24/365 coverage. _
**_Compensation: _**
- _Hourly rate to be determined based on skills and experience. _
