**Position Overview**

We are seeking an experienced **Plumbing Journeyman/Woman** to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful **Plumbing Journeyman**/**Woman** will be able to perform the necessary duties including but not limited to Install repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and systems from start to finish, maintain a positive attitude and teach apprentices the trade.

**Duties and Responsibilities**

Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing standards and the city plumbing code

Ability to work in an organized environment

Good communication/interpersonal skills

Ensure health and safety regulations are followed

Reserve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity

Ability to perform the following: joining, soldering, bending and brazing of a variety of copper tubing and plastic piping, ability to read and interpret blue prints and schematic drawings

Ability to work in an organized environment and effectively communicate within a positive team environment

**Education and Experience**

5 years of Plumbing Experience

**Qualifications**

Writing, oral communication, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, organizing and job task planning.

Team player, motivated and detail orientated

Certificate of completion of a vocational school in a certified Plumbing apprenticeship program

Gas license not required, but would be an asset

Valid driver's license, WAH, WHIMIS, MOL 4 Steps, AODA

Willingness to observe safety precautions for protections against accidents

Must be able to work onsite on a day-to-day basis in Southwestern Ontario

Basic security clearance, criminal record check, driving record check (abstract)

Please note that a valid Ontario Driver's License is required. Must be able to work onsite on a day-to-day basis in Southwestern Ontario.
