We are seeking **an experienced Welding Supervisor** to join our growing team. The Welding Supervisor has primary responsibility for the oversight and control of welding operations in the steel stud manufacturing plant.

You are the right person for the job if you have at least 5 years of experience with GMAW/MIG welding and be very familiar with robotic and manual GMAW welding processes. You must be a CWB-Qualified GMAW Welding Supervisor or meet the requirements to become qualified.

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:

- Recruit, hire and train qualified welders and welding operators and oversee the process of CWB-certification if not already certified.
- Monitor performance of welders and welding operators and ensure they are working in accordance to approved welding procedure data sheets on the shop floor or in the field.
- Ensure company's welding procedures covering all joints, processes and positions used in fabrication/erection are current and approved by the Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB).
- Ensure weld quality and workmanship are up to the levels specified by the design or product standard, including weld and product quality inspections.
- Collaborate with the Plant Manager on plant production matters including; resourcing, productivity, and production schedules.

**YOUR EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Must be a CWB-certified Welding Supervisor or meet the requirements to become certified.
- Must have experience qualifications to achieve CWB Welding Inspector qualification.
- 5+ years experience performing welding tasks in a steel stud wall panel manufacturing plant, or similar tasks in another type of welding shop.
- Experience with steel stud manufacturing machinery and equipment (ie. Stitch Weld and Roll Formers, Panel Hoists, Cranes), including operation and preventative maintenance.

**YOUR SKILLS & ABILITIES**
- Show care and responsibility for the welding procedures, equipment, and personnel, keeping up with daily production targets.
- Able to interpret shop drawings used to assemble steel stud wall panels.
- Must be able to use and read an imperial unit tape measure.
- You have good attention to detail and take pride in your work.
- Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds unaided, occasionally up to 100lbs
- Must have reliable transportation. There is no public transportation nearby.
- Must be willing and able to successfully achieve WHMIS, First Aid, Forklift, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) training certificates.
- Must have CSA-approved safety footwear.
