Our goal is to help those both on the autism spectrum (ASD) or with varying complex needs to succeed in overcoming challenges and work towards learning new skills. We feel lucky to be able to enhance the quality of life for our clients and their families.

Under the supervision of a Behaviour Consultant (BC) or a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA), the Behaviour Interventionist (BI) provides direct Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy services for children diagnosed with autism spectrum or with other complex needs.

**Position Overview**:

- Responsibilities and Duties include but are not limited to:_
- Implement all aspects of programming as developed and supervised by the BC/ BCBA, while using ABA methods and principles.
- Conduct one-on-one direct individual therapy or work with small groups
- Collect and record data regularly throughout sessions
- Work intuitively with clients while following the plans and goals set out by the Behaviour Consultant / Board Certified Behaviour Analyst
- Work in a team-oriented environment focused on growth and adaptability
- Direct work with clients includes various physical demands such as sitting on the floor, kneeling, squatting, running, twisting/turning, lifting, and frequent physical transitions
- Attend and participate in regular training and team meetings

Qualifications:

- A diploma or degree in a human service related field such as, but not limited to : Psychology, Early Childhood Education and/ or equivalent experience working directly with individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication
- Excellent conflict resolution skills
- Experience with Applied Behaviour Analysis and/or managing challenging behaviours is beneficial

**Requirements**:

- Valid BC Drivers Licence with a clean Drivers Abstract and reliable transportation
- Clear Criminal Records Check re: working with a vulnerable population
- Hold a valid First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain within 3 months
- RBT Training or willingness to obtain within 3 months of employment
- Professional and positive attitude
- Enjoy working with children and a willingness to play
- Ability to implement all aspects of programming ( feeding, toileting ect)
- Reliable and punctual

Compensation: To be determined based on qualifications and experience.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
